Suspected suicide bomber nearly lynched arrested in Kano
A middle-aged man suspected to be a suicide bomber was saved from being lynched today by the police after an angry mob descended on him following his refusal to be screened at the entrance of the Unguwar Uku motorpark in Kano state today March 19th.
Confirming the incident, the Kano state police spokesperson, Magaji Musa Majiya said the man was mobbed after he attempted to run from the scene.
"A mob descended on him and he sustained injuries. When the suspect wanted to run away, the mob pursued him and beat him to a state of coma before the arrival security agents.” The police spokesperson said when the man was searched, no explosive was found on him but charms and some rifles were found on him. He is currently in an undisclosed hospital now receiving medical care.
